Rhythm Echo
Bear plays the drum. Listen, then tap the rhythm back!
What your child learns
- Feeling a steady beat and keeping it while tapping
- Telling long sounds, short sounds and rests apart
- Counting how many drum beats you heard
- Hearing a low drum and a high drum and tapping the right one
How to play
- Press "Play now" and turn the sound on. Bear plays a short drum rhythm.
- The dots show the rhythm: a big dot is a long sound, small dots are short sounds, and a gap is a rest.
- Your turn: tap the drum (or press Space or Enter) to play it back just like Bear.
- If it is not quite right, the orange spot shows where, and Bear plays it again. The speaker button on the question bar replays it too.
For parents
- It starts with 2–3 even beats, then 4 beats, long and short sounds, rests, and finally two drums, one low and one high.
- Only the spacing between taps is compared, with a generous margin, so your child can start whenever they like and device or speaker lag does not count against them.
- Clap along and say "ta, ta, ti-ti, ta" with the dots: many music classes teach rhythm to young children this way.
- Sound on works best; with sound off, the dots still light up in time so your child can tap along by watching.
