Robot Path
Line up the arrows, press go, and help the robot find the apple!
What your child learns
- Early coding: plan a sequence first, then run it
- Telling up, down, left and right apart on a grid
- Counting steps and finding a way around obstacles
- Finding and fixing the mistake when the robot bumps
- A "repeat 2 times" block in harder levels: shorter code, same steps
How to play
- Look at the board: the robot, the apple and the rocks.
- Tap the arrow buttons to add commands to the strip. Tap a command to remove it, or use remove-last and clear-all.
- Press "Go": the robot follows the commands one step at a time.
- If the robot bumps a rock or the edge, the command that caused it turns red; fix it and run again. Reach the apple to move on.
For parents
- Have your child trace the route with a finger before adding arrows.
- The board grows from 3×3 to 5×5, with more rocks and detours.
- After the second miss, dots on the board show the shortest path.
- On a computer, arrow keys add commands and Backspace removes the last one.
